It’s almost 5 am in the morning but I couldn’t sleep so I decided to write something, what I’m thinking now spontaneously. So many people asked me where do you come from? actually it’s a common question people ask me when I live in Russia. For some reasons they are really easy to recognize me as a foreigner here. So answer their question. I was born in Jakarta. Not so many people know. Where is Jakarta ? even they don’t know where is my country located on the map. Some of them say Indonesia in Latin America, even the mostly wrong answer is in Africa. The right answer is in Southeast Asia. My homeland well known as Bali. Bali is Indonesia but Indonesia is not Bali. Why I say like that because to describe more 17.000 islands is not enough just to see one island that is Bali. We rich in culture. We have more than 300 ethnics and we are contain from many races and tribes. We live united among diversity. We speak in one national language that is Bahasa Indonesia.
Most Indonesians speak Bahasa and We’re proud of it. In Bahasa we have a lot of dialect and different meaning of words to express in every region. There are over 700 indigenous languages. Most Indonesians speak their indigenous language as their mother tongue and Bahasa Indonesia for school and careers, making most Indonesians bilingual. In this modern era there are so many young people can speak foreign language. The most popular one is English.
We can recognize, where a person came from easily with his way of speaking, gesture when he is speaking and words he usually use when he speaks. for example My family came from Toba lake, North Sumatra. Our people speak really loud and open our mount quite wide when we are speaking, we also speak with high interest, and it’s really different with Javanese, People from Java speak slowly and really soft. Our place of living and the natural characteristic determinate our dialect, I suppose to.
About culinary, We have different type of foods in every place or region in Indonesia. Our foods are rich of herbs and spices. They make our foods tastefull and so yummy. We love spicy and also coconut. They are the most common combination of our national kitchen. Have you ever heard about Rendang? Rendang is one of the most delicious food in the word. That cuisine is from West sumatra. The composition of meat and coconut milk with traditional cook and various of herbs and spices. Makes Rendang really full of taste.You need to tasted, it is really recommended. Add hot rice in your Rendang. It will be killing your tongue for a moment.

Travelling across our country, I think, it will be one of the most unforgettable experience in your life. Indonesia located in equator. We have large sea shore and because of that reason we have so many beautiful beach with warm sun shine for all of season. Diving,Surfing,rafting in Indonesia is a paradise to do those of activities. Indonesia has a fiery side, too. The country is situated on the Pacific Ring of Fire and is home to around 150 volcanoes. They’re mostly not a threat – and make great tourist attractions. You can hike the mountain and see natural wonder at the same time.

Indonesian people are the most friendliest people in the world with high tolerant. Smile is our culture and we really open to new people. So do not be surprised when people smile at you on the streets or greet you. We love singing a lot and so many street musician in the corner of the city.
I think for people from all around the world will be so quick to adapted with our culture, climate and also our society. It’s not because I’m Indonesian but Indonesia is the best place for living with all amazing things and also the beauty of nature. I think it’s really hard to ignore it.
